Nice to Meet You. I'm Elise.

After spending my twenties living and traveling internationally I returned to the Midwest to begin my greatest adventure- Motherhood!
In March of 2020 my son and I moved to Dane County with our large dog and have since welcomed home a kitten who also believes she is a large dog.
We listen to music too loud on our way to and from preschool and I strongly encourage what I consider "essential rights of childhood"... Since humans are little and perfect for a such a very short while.

Currently, I am in the worst shape of my life but have recently started moving my "big-fat-mom-butt" with the reopening of childcare at the gym. WOOT!
In this phase of life I am beginning to find the parts of me I somehow lost and that's incredibly exciting.
I have nice things but rarely use them.
I don't wear makeup and live in leggings and pajamas.
"Hot Mess" as an adjective [in this case] is an understatement.
It is my habit to muscle through adversities and take control.
I also enjoy handing over control and making no decisions. Momming, business-owning, and matriarching is hard.
The people keeping (mostly) all the balls (mostly) in the air need a break too.
